Another desirable neighborhood in Market Common is Emmens Preserve. The epitome of redevelopment, Emmens Preserve was one of the first neighborhoods developed following the closure of the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. Originally built in 2010 featuring quality homes by Lennar, this community has continued to grow in popularity resulting in additional homes being constructed.
There are two neighborhoods currently under construction. The Monarch Estates, which includes Monarch Arbor and Monarch Coastal homes, and Montrose West. The Monarch Coastal offers homes ranging from 2395-2797 square feet in size and are made to accommodate the modern day “extended family” with homes offering 2 private living spaces, often referred to as “mother-in-law suites”. These homes are quite popular with the aging baby-boomers caring for elderly parents. Homes are priced from $285K to $314K and are 3 to 5 bedrooms in size with as many as 4 baths! Some offer lake or water views.
The Monarch Arbor homes are located on wooded sites with 3 to 4 bedrooms and priced between $241K to $261K. The 4 floorplans in the Arbor Collection offer superb gourmet kitchens including breakfast nooks, hardwood floors, granite countertops, upgraded cabinetry and GE stainless steel appliances.
The Montrose West homes feature direct waterfront views. The consists of 3 or 4 bedrooms and are priced between the mid to high $200’s. There are 5 floorplans for these homes which are located very close to the new pool and clubhouse. Other amenities in Emmens preserve include a large pool, exercise room, a lake and park with an amphitheater, bocce ball court, putting greens and outdoor kitchens.
Centrally located and minutes away from the beach and other great Myrtle Beach attractions, Emmens Preserve is one of the best places to live in the Grand Strand!
