A favorite hotel in Myrtle Beach for more than 30 years is the Boardwalk Resort.  Located close to the Pavilion in the center of Myrtle Beach, Boardwalk Resort is considered one of the best vacation spots along the Grand Strand.  The Boardwalk hotel was completely renovated in the mid-2000’s into one and two-bedroom condos.

The Boardwalk Tower is more suited to vacation rentals than residential units.  The one-bedroom units are basically converted efficiency apartments consisting of approximately 580 square feet.  Some corner units were combined with rooms on the side the make them into 2-bedroom lockout units with the oceanfront larger unit having a complete kitchen.  The smaller rooms are equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave.  These two-bedroom units are roughly 1000 square feet in size, most having “murphy” beds and sleeper sofas to accommodate 8-10 people.

Amenities at the Boardwalk are plentiful including a lazy river, indoor pool and 3 outdoor pools, Jacuzzis, oceanfront lawn and sunbathing area.  There’s also a shuffleboard, fitness center, sauna, parking deck and laundry facilities.  On-site rental management is available, and the restaurant/café is open during the summer.

The most attractive feature of the Boardwalk Resort is the price.  One-bedroom units are priced under $100,000 and the two-bedroom lockout condos are around $140,000.  With superb rental income potential this ideal for those wanting a beach vacation home that nearly pays for itself.  Owners and tenants are about 10 blocks from the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, within walking distance to some of the areas finest restaurants and a short drive to Broadway at the Beach.
